3.1. Program description
3.1.1. Considering capacity expansion, the wave demultiplexing unit is designed according to 8 waves
3.1.2. Calculation of the data given for the attenuation of the optical cable (connection loss and insertion loss are included).
3.1.3. Link optical power calculation:
Unidirectional: The single-wave luminous power of the optical module is calculated at 0dBm (-2~3dBm), amplified by BA and attenuated by OLP, the incoming fiber optical power is +4dBm, attenuated by the line 27dBm, OLP 2dB attenuated, and the power entering the PA is -25dBm , After PA 20dB amplification, the single-wave power is -5dBm, after DEMUX de-wave, the single-wave power is -10dBm, which is guaranteed to be within the sensitivity range of the optical module;
Reverse: After calculation, the single-wave power at the receiving end is -10dBm, which is guaranteed to be within the sensitivity range of the optical module
3.1.4. System OSNR calculation (simple): OSNR=58+4-27-1-6=28dB≥24dB, which meets the design specifications.
3.2. Solution advantages
3.2.1. Use DWDM to multiplex 40 services on one optical cable for transmission, which greatly saves optical cable resources while ensuring bandwidth;
3.2.2. High stability: This solution design adopts OLP 1+1 dual route protection, supports automatic switching, and ensures business stability;
3.2.3. WDM equipment adopts modular design, separate active and passive, easy to expand, only need to increase the service board when expanding, without interrupting the existing business
3.2.4. The OTU board adopts 3R design, which can reshape the signal, amplify the clock and re-timing to ensure that the signal is not distorted
3.2.5. Support different services to access SDH, PDH, CATV, Ethernet, voice data, etc., compatible with equipment from different manufacturers
3.2.6. The device provides 1+1 hot backup power supply, which improves the stability of the device
3.2.7. Possess powerful network management functions, which can realize remote network management, realize online real-time business monitoring, and facilitate maintenance
